HAVA Wireless HD 1.5 - Beta 1:
This is a Beta build. We have
tested this for a variety of network conditions. At the
same time, we certainly do not have all the different
network configurations and router/AP variations in our
labs to test all user scenarios. As such, we are putting
this build out as a Beta build - hoping that our customers
will test this at their homes or other installed locations
and give us the feedback so we can fix any remaining issues
and make a stable usable release for our users. The other
reason we are calling this a "Beta build" is
that some new features such as record and burn are still
under testing.
Here are the new features in this release:
- Wired setup and playback support
Users who do not have a wi-fi router or adapter can connect
to HAVA Wireless HD over a wired LAN and configure and
play video back on their laptops/desktops over the LAN.
- Wired and Wireless setup and playback support
Users have the choice of configuring and watching the
video over a wired or wireless network. HAVA Wireless
HD can now service wired and wireless users simultaneously.
- TV Scanning in Setup
Users will now be able to Tune HAVA Wireless HD to
their TV/Cable channels with better accuracy.
- Enhanced Support for Windows MCE - via BeanBag
HAVA Wireless HD 1.0 allows MCE users to use HAVA Wireless
HD as a wireless TV Tuner. However it is not able to
fully support EPG and has restrictions on the number
of channels that you can control.
In HAVA Wireless HD 1.5 release, we are releasing new
software that allows users to control the Set-Top-Box
or Cable box with HAVA Wireless HD IR Blaster via the
MCE "Bean Bag" device. If you have an MCE
"Bean Bag" device, you will now be able to
take full advantage of the EPG provided by MCE.
- Record, Manage and Burn in HAVA Wireless HD PC Player
With HAVA Wireless HD 1.0, the user could time-shift
the playback and control the pause/live playback and
seek in the time-shift buffer.
With HAVA Wireless HD 1.5 release, you will be able
to record the clips (in local viewing mode) to the hard
disk, manage the recorded clips via a My Recordings
interface and also burn any clip to a DVD with a simple
and elegant user-interface. You can also play any recorded
clips for your enjoyment at a later time, even when
you are not connected to HAVA Wireless HD.
- Improved remote viewing with slow internet connections
HAVA Wireless HD 1.5 has further improvements over
the HAVA Wireless HD 1.01 Patch release for remote viewing
quality and stability for slow internet connections.
We have also improved the bit-rate statistics reported
to the user by the PC player.
- Bug Fixes in Setup

mode

WEP key

non-broadcast SSID

information for the external devices configured
in the Setup Wizard.

HD

connecting remotely
HAVA Wireless HD Patch 1.01:

Since then a number of users have run into some known

features. Monsoon is pleased to release the HAVA Wireless
HD 1.01 patch release. The patch release covers the following:
