1.8.1.36 is now available! (released April 28, 2009)

This release supports the following models:

• Platinum HD

1.8.1.36 solves the audio-video synchronization and low bitrate problems that users experienced in remote viewing when using 1.8.1.35.

Major enhancements compared to 1.8.0:

• iTunes support - You can export any recorded clip to iTunes from the Recordings album.   From there you can load it into your iPod or iPhone. Of course, iTunes needs to be installed first. If you need to download iTunes, go here.
• Keyboard shortcuts for PVR controls and menu functions of set top boxes have been added to the PC Player application.
• Firmware update is now enabled from PC Player, so that following a software upgrade you do not have to run Setup Wizard just to update the firmware.

Gold owners:

If you own a Monsoon Gold are using it with the version 1.7 software that shipped with it, please update it to version 1.8.1 by following the instructions on this page. If you already unlocked your Monsoon Gold, just follow the link to the Platinum HD software download above. Unlocking a Monsoon Gold makes it equivalent to a Platinum HD.
