Watch and control your home TV from your S60 handset from anywhere in the world over broadband internet; via WiFi or a 3G connection. The on-screen remote and keyboard shortcuts allow you to control all your TV functions, just as you do at home with your TV remote.
To use HAVA Player you will need to have a HAVA device installed in your home to stream your home TV signal, and a broadband data connection at both ends.

Downloading and Installing
The HAVA Player can be downloaded from www.myhava.com/downloads/HAVAPlayer.sisx
Outlined below is a quick guide to downloading and using the HAVA Player for S60. A more detailed explanation and user guide can be found at http://www.myhava.com/s60havatutorial.html
If you download the application from the phone browser, the screen prompts on the phone after the download is complete will guide you through the installation.
If you download the application on your PC, then connect the PC to your phone and run the Application Installer of the Nokia PC Suite on your PC, select the downloaded “HAVA Player.sisx” file from the Application Installer file list and follow the screen prompts to complete the installation procedure.
The HAVA Player can be installed on the device memory or a memory card.
Basic Operation
Navigate to the ‘Application Menu’ on the handset device and select the HAVA
Player Icon to launch the Player. (You can move the HAVA Player to another folder, if you prefer.)
Choose your connection from the ‘Select access point’. If the WiFi connection you select is locked, you will need to enter the password. (Whether you connect over WiFi or a 3G network, be sure that you understand your service provider’s data fees. Video uses lots of data.)
From the main HAVA Player screen select ‘Options’
Select ‘Add HAVA’ from the ‘Options’ menu . The following dialogue box will appear.
Add your HAVA device name or ID —> Select ‘OK’
(This is the HAVA name or ID you used to set up your HAVA Device in Setup Wizard)
Enter your Password ID:
(This is the password you chose during set up of your HAVA Device in Setup Wizard)
Select ‘Save’
Select ‘Options’—>’Connect’ to start connecting to the HAVA you just entered. It is your default HAVA.
The HAVA Player should start ‘Locating’, followed by ‘Connecting’ and then ‘Buffering’

Did You Know (DYK)
DYK — You can select ‘Remote’ to toggle between the different remote screens
DYK — You can select ‘Option’ to bring you additional menu options
DYK — Additional Remote Control Commands are available from the ‘IR Command’ menu
DYK — Additional settings are available from the ‘Settings’ menu
DYK — You can switch between Portrait and Landscape view from the ‘Options’ menu

Known Issues in Version 1.0
Supplier and Application size showing ‘Unknown’ during installation
- Click on ‘OK’ to continue the installation. There is no impact on the installation process due to this message
HAVA Player shows certificate error
- Go to ‘Applications’ —> ‘Application Manager’ —> ‘Options’ —> ‘Settings’
- Change ‘Software Installations to ‘All’
- Click ‘OK’
- Change ‘Online Certificate Check’ to ‘Off’ —> Click ‘OK’
- You should be able to download the software and install it with no issues
‘HAVA Name/ID <actual name/ID> not found’ is displayed when HAVA name is typed in incorrectly
- When attempting to connect to a HAVA device, if the HAVA name is typed incorrectly. The error message displays ‘HAVA Name/ID <actual name/ID> not found’
- HAVA name is case-sensitive.
Audio and Video freezes occasionally and does not recover
- Disconnecting and reconnecting resolves this issue.
Video glitch when switching from Portrait to Landscape
- A minor video glitch is experienced when switching screen views.
The rotation sensor on E66 is not supported; as a result the player does not change orientation on tilting an E66 phone.
How Do I know if My Mobile Phone is Supported
HAVA Player is supported on all the Symbian series 60 devices which fulfill the following criteria
- Your Mobile Phone should be running on Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition OS with Feature Pack (FP) 1 or 2. You can find out the version of operating system on your device by performing following operations
(Go to Menu —> Tools —> Utilities —> Device Manager)
- You device should have a broadband connection to internet using WiFi or 3G network

- The player is best suited for display size of 320x240. For devices with 2 displays, only the primary display (typically of resolution 320x240) is supported.
- We have tested the HAVA Player to work on N95, N95 8GB, N82, E71, E90 (primary display).
