Software for Blackberry

As of now HAVA supports only windows based Smart Phones and PPCs. Support for other mobile phones including Blackberry is in our future pipeline.

So, how far is your future?????? There are a lot more Blackberry's in the market than that other infirior mobile OS. I would think from a marketing perspective Hava would want to cater to the masses.

Well if you really need Blackberry support you can get a Slingbox they support it (hint...hint). I'd much rather use my Hava since I think it has a superior picture and really hope Monsoon makes Blackberry support a much higher priority than they currently do.

Just wanted to bring this back to the forefront. I think HAVA for the Blackberry would be a neccessity given that your main competitor is currently in beta testing of this application. There has already been a public beta too.

Look I am tired of this as well as the other Blackberry users. What is the hold up? I have been told for 5 months Hava is working on this and are optomistic to the outcome. Sick of it! Wish I researched the forums before I purchased this. I am not a person who likes to complain without having a solution to my complaint. I am requesting assistance from my friends at intel and gateway to help translate the stream to blackberry. I just dont understand this! How could they not have a solution?

I have been Happy with My Hava Player since I got it. I was hoping on future updates that would allow onscreen scheduling recording to a local USB HDD and the ability to view the saved files remotely over the internet.

But my wife and I are going to get Balckberries soon and I have not seen any updates from any Hava employees stating any progress on a Blackberry player.

If a support staffer could post an update on the Blackberry software, it would be appreciated.

As of now we do not have any Client Software for Blackberry Phones. It is a bit too early to comment on its availability

Whatever that means. How about something like:

We are trying to put a player together but RIM is not assisting us

or:

Hope to have a more direct answer in a month.

Nice, I wish they could just tell us the progress they are making. I am worried that the business is going bellyup and are just staying quiet until the last minute.
I could garuntee half of the people I work with that own Blackerries (and there is a lot) would buy a Hava if they knew for certain that they made a Blackberry app. Blackberry has JUST released their App World Store where it could easily be distributed as a free program. They add it now, it could become a featured app, and could cause more people to read up on what Hava is, and convince MANY people that did not know that the Tech existed would run out and buy a Hava Streamer.

Same goes for the iPhone app.

I can't believe we're even having this discussion. They could easily sell a million Hava machines if they would create a simple app for the blackberry. Pay some programmer $50,000 to create the app and turn around and make millions of dollars in Hava sales. No brainer, right? C'mon Hava, get off your butts.

Actually I know many blackberry and I phone users who are not interested in streaming to their hand held phones. It's a tech fad for tech geeks in my humble opinion. A phone is too small to watch TV on for me. PS I dont work for HAVA.

I am in Taiwan. I took this week of work so I can watch live at home the Stanley Cup Finals, NBA finals, 20 20 cricket, Lions Rugby Tour to South Africa, British Tennis Open. Is having TV content streamed to your phone the only consideration in life? Maybe for you guys but not for me.

Next week I travel to China for a week. I take my laptop and if anything I need to watch I do it on the HAVA. Quite happy with the quality at remote speed 1mb.

There are things I would like HAVA to do now... like uncap the 1mb remote stream but they are working on new products that take priority to that for the moment.

Just my humble opinion ok. I was at computex Taipei alst week and even most of the publishing journos admit that streaming to a phone is an app that a small niche market requires.
