Wow. I just got a Droid X and was hoping that by now there'd be a Hava app for Android.

I might have to give this TestTube thing a try...

Test tube works well, has all the features needed for watching and controlling TV imo. Only downside is that the audio is out of sync sometimes but its 100% better than Hava's Android app....

Hava are missing out big time, SlingPlayer is constantly on the main page of Androids Market, generating many sales with over 10,000 people having purchased the app @ $29.99. http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.slingmedia.slingPlayer

Shall I call Hava a taxi? They clearly missed the boat....

I have the EVO 4G as well and the Titanium Hava Wifi. I've downloaded the app from the market and it won't work with 3g or 4g. I will check my wifi network when I get home. As a side note, the Vulkano app DOES work on the iPad with my Titanium WiFi for those who also have the iPad (Both Wifi and 3/4g tethered to the EVO).

I can say with some certainty that if this isn't resolved fairly quickly I will be going to sling box. I would rather buy a whole new set up from some one else and use their $30 app than buy ANOTHER Monsoon product if they can't support me as a current customer. I will NOT buy a Vulkano just to get android support. We should ALREADY have android support.

Just sayin'...

Well with slings servers being down for 3 weeks this month I would also say be aware that if you buy a sling there is a good chance you wont get any connections at all.

Many people still cannot connect to their slings even though sling media say their server crash is resolved. They just closed their thread about the non conneciton issues and deleted any other posters complaining.

It's not the first time this has happened with sling media turning their boxes into $300 paperweights, It's one reason sling media shot down the sling community forums, because of all the information being posted on their about the many issues people are having with slings, like having their tech support charge you US$30 for only to tell you its their own servers are down.

If you had read in other threads people are already using the free Vukano app using their HAVA's on Android.

I run a business, I need products that do their basic functions reliably. Otherwise people ask for refunds or want to cancel existing contracts because the device has constant issues with bad firmware and bad support and dud servers. HAVA doesn't have that problem  Streaming from one location to a remote PC and some phones and not others yes we want to see that resolved.

I'd rather be in business with one less phone app than having an unreliable product that can't connect.

I know which my customers choose.

Like many others I downloaded the Vulkano Android player as soon as it was available. I have a Titanium wifi and a Droid Incredible with version 2.1. My results were like others - the player worked while I used the wifi connection within my home. When I tried the wireless broadband connection it wouldn't connect. I have since upgraded the phone's operating system to 2.2 and now neither the wifi nor the broadband connection function. I love my Hava box and I will like to know that Monsoon is working to release a functioning player for my phone. I don't expect it immediately but I certainly would like to know that it is in the works.

True. But why should I care? I dont work for Monsoon, I dont develop apps nor do I write firmware. I am just another end user like you are. You don't care if I want features you don't want either if they are not yet available. None of my customers have asked for Android support, not one. Only a few use it with Iphone and they all know about it. I am not saying it's not important to have an Android app for Android users, just as Ipad users want live streaming on Ipads and only the Vulkano can do that and other devices like HAVA or slings cannot.

I give a rats arse as we say. But only when it affects my business directly.
Right now I have customers in Taiwan and China who do not have the US Open Tennis on local cable TV. The only way they get it is from my satellite / placeshifting hosting.

Hopefully they get a fully functional Android app for you guys soon. It would be nice.
