Multiple houses for TV viewing?

Postby Newber on Sat Jan 02, 2010 12:00 pm

I have 3 homes and only want 1 cable bill {home #1}, I rent out # 2 & #3 50% of the time and want my guest to "HAVA" TV .

1.] Can Hava be watched by a guest at 2nd or 3rd home on the TV? By patching a laptop I presume? Would this allow them my access codes? I believe slingcatcher
does not allow viewing of access codes.

2.] Can 2nd home watch TV via Hava box and I still watch my TV at home where box is located without issues? Like I have watch what they are watching?

3.] How many TV's in different locations can be used off 1 hava box? Are they all watching the same channel?

Thanks guys ...may seam like stupid questions but I really need to know.

1.] Yes, but you would have to set up a PC to do that, or let them try to do that themselves. In either case, your Hava's name and password would be on the PC.

2.] No! If your Hava is connected to one and only one cable box, then whatever it's showing will be what everybody is seeing. You could add additional cable boxes and dedicate them to your Hava...

3.] Only one. The remote stream is singular. The local LAN streams can go to multiple PCs, where that's probably over 5.
