Switch remotes without switching inputs

I have multiple devices connected through an AV receiver to the HAVA's S-video port. I would like to be able to switch between various configured device remotes without actually switching the HAVA input between component, s-video and composite.

Using the receiver instead of the HAVA to switch inputs allows me to use both left and right audio with all devices. But right now there is no way to change which remote you are using without also switching the HAVA input.

It should not be hard to modify the software to be able to change the active remote without changing the HAVA input.
