Some people have reported issues with IR learning, such as "it takes 20 tries to capture a single key". This is certainly not expected. In some cases, it appears that ambient light (most likely fluorescent) is interfering with the IR detector on HAVA.

So, if this appears to be affecting you, see if you can turn off the ambient light, or at least block it from the detector window with your hand while you are capturing codes.
