Solution for remote configuration

Postby 2fatdogs@gmail.com on Wed Dec 02, 2009 7:21 am

My solution for remote configuration works great.

If you have a PC at home where the HAVA is installed (on the same subnet as the HAVA) and you create a LogMeIn free account and run LogMeIn free on that pc, you can remotely control that local computer to do any configuration necessary from any web connected PC.

LogMeIn is awesome. I can't believe you can use it for free. And no I'm not affiliated in any way with that company or it's services.

BTW you will not be able to see real time video on the remotely controlled computer during the config as the program is not designed to compress and stream the video (that is what the HAVA is for). The video region on the remotely controlled PC will appear as just a black window on the PC that you're using remotely...if that makes sense. But then of course you can connect via HAVA to see if your changes had the desired effect.
